Presets / Snapshots installation

Important: The snapshot / preset installation needs to be done manually.
You can move the respective folder to the “User Content / Kontakt” folder in your Documents / Native Instruments folder. If this folder doesn’t exist you can create it. If the presets can’t be found, Kontakt won’t show and enable them. More detailed instructions can be found in the documentation.

The software coding has taken many months and involved a total of 3500 lines of code. We hope you respect the effort put into this and not share your purchase on warez sites and/ or with colleague producers and friends.
This instrument was developed in version 5.6. In case you intend to SAVE the instrument to a new filename or override the original .NKI, you will loose the preset (snapshots) data. This is as per default Kontakt behavior. Make sure you keep the original .NKI in case you want o keep using the snapshot presets.

Drag & Drop sample import

The update to version 1.5 is now available. We advise you to use version 1.5 next to the previous versions so don’t overwrite the files. See below for the change log.
Version 1.5 requires Kontakt v6.3.2 to run. If you have a version of Kontakt between 5.6 and 6.3.2 you can use the 1.01 version which is also still included in the order download.
Login to your account and download the file of your purchase again.

– Added Drag & Drop Sample support including loop mode for 3 custom layers. Replaces original custom layer sample replacement
– Custom layers can be set to loop or play in one shot.
– Root notes can be set for custom layers, either manually or via auto-detect

System requirements

This Kontakt Instrument requires Native Instruments Kontakt Full Edition 5.6 or newer.
If you want to use the Drag & Drop sample import, you need at least Kontakt 6.3.2 to run it.
Works in any DAW and OS that supports Native Instruments Kontakt. Installation of Kontakt can be done via Native Access.
Kontakt is a sampler VST by Native Instruments. Read more here.
The free Kontakt Player will enforce a 15-minute DEMO time-out as this Instrument is not licensed through Native Instruments.
The Screech Designer instrument doesn’t have trial period, demo version or return option. If you want to hear some of the sounds and quality, you can check the product walk-through video below.

Q&A / FAQ

Does this work in FL Studio or other DAW?
It works in FL studio as it runs inside Native Instrument Kontakt. Kontakt works in any DAW that supports VST / AU (Cubase, FL Studio, Logic, Ableton Live, Studio One, et cetera).

Can I use the free Kontakt Player mode?
You actually can but a 15-minute demo timeout is enforced by Native Instruments in every session you use it. To fully use the instrument you need the full version.
